Old offices were identified as an area for development. A need arisen for new laboratory to be built quickly. Hunter asked to help make assessment of designing and building a new lab.
The Problem
The initial consultation by Hunter was completed at no cost to the customer. Hunter won the Turnkey D&B by competitive tendering. The job had to be completed in 20 weeks to meet the customers product testing development plan. Drainage to the room had to be devised and this involved modifications to the site drainage network at FFL.
The Solution
A Design & Build was initiated and let to Hunter to deliver. The design derived from consultation with on-site working groups. A specification was compiled, fast track construction was essential as research Testing from this facility was essential to meet development plans for the business. Services and layouts were devised, presented, and agreed with on-site working groups.
Achievements
Hunter delivered the build, both internally and externally as ground works were completed on drainage modifications. The Pandemic and the availability of specialist contractors became a challenge. All obstacles overcome with alternative suppliers, positive comments regarding Hunter’s flexibility were made by client project groups.
