Turnkey Projects - Budgets, Design, Tendering and Construction
RIBA Stages 1 -7
Hunters approach is always to partner with the client to define the engineering need. Our professional engineers follow the RIBA stages 1 -7. This takes the engineering process from feasibility to commissioning. Before handover we will often recommend training of operatives or technicians as part of completing the project.
Feasibility
Hunters can provide detailed feasibility reports accompanied with a budget cost for your project.
This usually involves consultation with on-site client groups. Bringing together the customer groups aligns the solution and obtains a stakeholder buy- in. Often a ‘URS’ (user requirement specification) is devised between several parties. The URS is further used to progress the necessary steps of design and specification for tendering.
Costing/Budget
Hunters are a multi-disciplined engineering organization, we use our expertise to assist the customer in preparing financial and capital expenditure budgets. We ensure the budget is in accord with the URS and we can provide a high-level Gantt chart for the customer to use in their planning and proposals to executives.
Design
Commissioning a design from a skilled professional prior to tendering for construction has many merits. It allows the subsequent tendering to be completed to an exact specification and facilitates a direct comparison of competitive prices. We partner with a range of design companies to prepare designs for ground works, structural steel, cladding, plant layouts, power, and lighting. We also design and install all building and process services and bespoke extraction and filtration systems.
Critical Path Items for Analysis and Review
As part of the feasibility study, we provide high level procurement programmes, often in the form of Gantt charts taking the project from feasibility to commissioning. As the design is scheduled these high-level Gantts are refined to show the interdependencies and critical path items, all of which are essential for timely delivery of the project.
CDM Construction
Delivery of every project is carried out in accordance with CDM 2015, including dynamic risk assessments to accommodate any site changes during the life of the project. We regularly review CDM and planning, with detailed construction Gantt charts and expenditure reports. Targeted and actual spends are reviewed weekly.
Most working environments bring challenges, often in confined spaces. We ensure that the customer core business has minimal disruption, whilst at the same time keeping contractors and staff safe whilst working alongside each other.
Commissioning, Balancing, and Training
Hunters engages fully with the client on setting the project to work in an active environment, inclusive of maintenance and safety. Commissioning is often accompanied with on-the-job training and education for operatives and trades. When Hunters hand over to you, you can be completely confident that the project has been completed to the highest specification and is ready to operate safely.
