The Problem
The site accommodated more than a thousand employees consisting of operational and office staff. A restaurant and access were needed within a thirty-week period. The period allocated had to include design. The completed completion was to supply Christmas Lunch for all workers.
The Solution
Hunter provided Architectural Schemes and options. The project also included kitchen equipment inclusive of extraction, floor and services. This completed project was constructed alongside executive offices. This was a fast-track D&B that also involved external and internal construction of covered stairwells and disabled lift.
Achievements
The objective was met, Christmas lunch was served from the new canteen and all staff had their cooked turkey, trimmings and xmas pudding, one week prior to Christmas. The finishes and decoration were impressive with significant external works allowing access to the complex. The construction was caried out safely and to programme, fully commissioned in December 2021.
